To engender liquid, moisten intestines, quicken blood, disperse accumulation./Scant fluid and thirst, intestinal dry and constipation, amenorrhea, accumulation-gathering.
To clear heat and disinhibit damp, resolve toxin, kill worms./Edema, sand qi abdominal pain, lung heat asthma and oppression, welling abscess and flat abscess, scrofula, damp sore.
To dispel wind and clear heat, dry damp and resolve toxin, kill worms./Externally contracted wind evil, head wind, headache, wind impediment, eczema, swollen welling abscess and sores, lichen sore, malaria, trichomoniasis.
To disinhibit water and free stool, quicken blood and transform stasis./Inhibited urination, edema, phlegm-rheum, sand strangury, stone strangury, beriberi, constipation, concretion and conglomeration, amenorrhea, mania and withdrawal, sore and papules.
